CT PAgram
n Follow up studies have shown that there is low
risk of embolism in 6-12 months following
negative CT evaluation.
n Important to include a study of the legs.
n Any subsegmental emboli missed are probably
clinically insignificant in most patients.
n Patients with limited cardiopulmonary reserve
may need more aggressive workup.
n Remember that conventional angiography may
not be reliable for small vessels.
