		• Initially, hemithorax may appear opaque because loops are fluid-filled • Paucity of bowel loops beneath diaphragm • Once air swallowing begins, multiple lucencies contained within bowel are seen in chest • Respiratory distress may increase as intestine occupies more of thorax
